Day 1 Gujarat - Ahmedabad - Arrival at the airport. transfer to the hotel

   Day 01. > Flight from Europe to Ahmedabad
   Departing with ........(If asked, we will recommend specific flights.) from Frankfurt to Ahmedabad.
   Why do we recommend you to book flights direct.
   If the flights are booked directly in Germany, the traveler has a right to travel under the EU Air Passenger Regulation directly for the traveller. We suggest this flight.
   * The outward flight should be booked in such a way that you land in India on day 02 and the return flight should be booked on day 16 from Ahmedabad.

Day 2 Tour with English speaking guide

   Day 2. Arrive in Ahmedabad
   Traditional welcome upon arrival in Ahmedabad.

   Transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel. ** From 12:00 the room is available. (Dinner at the hotel)

Day 3 Today drive to Bhavnagar - Lothal

   Day 3. Ahmedabad
   After breakfast drive to Old Town. Then first go to Swaminarayan Temple where you will walk through old houses. The quarters of the city used to be grouped together. They were called 'Pols'. You walk through the old town.
   The Heritage Walk (One of the must-do things during Gujarat trip) is a tool to explore the unexplored and neglected riches of the country. You will also visit Jama Masjid and Sidi Sayad Mosque. Afterwards drive to Sabarmati Ashram where Gandhi lived for several years.
   The afternoon is at leisure. You can go swimming or to the alcohol shop where you can get a license for alcohol and beer etc.
   In the evening drive to a local for typical and local food.

Day 4 Drive to Bhavnagar (Lothal)

   Day 4. Ahmedabad > Lothal > Bhavnagar > Approx 5 hours
   After breakfast drive to Bhavnagar. En route visit Lothal, famous for discovering several ruins of the Indus civilization. The city was 3700 BC. inhabited and was a flourishing trading port. After that drive to Bhavnagar.
   When you get there, you can stroll in the center of the city for an hour.
   Afterwards proceed to check-in at the Palace Hotel. You will enjoy fairytale ambience of Neelam Bagh Palace Hotel. It was designed by a German architect.

Day 5 Bhavnagar-Palitana-Sasangir

   Shatrunjaya Hill Temple

   Day 05. > Early morning drive to Palitana after breakfast. Palitana is holiest place for the Jainas. There is the group of temples (more than 800) above Shatrunjaya Mountain. Every day many pilgrims, saints, etc. come and go up the stairs (one-sided 3700 ) in their own way.
   It takes about 2 hours to go up the stairs and an hour to come down. If someone wants to hire the porters, they can hire them too. The porters carry the guest with the help of the palanquin.
   * The porters (group of 4 people) carry the guest with the help of the litter. They take about 50-60 euros and also expect the tip at the end (same as the Indians). The porters also take the break between going up the stairs. During this time, the guest can walk up some stairs himself. But yes, in this way you can conveniently and timely see the main temple. * But yeah, it's not the must to let yourself carry.
   After that drive to Sasan Gir.

Day 6 Sasangir

   Besides Africa, Gir National Park in Gujarat is the only place in the world where you can see lions roaming freely in the wild.
   Early in the morning you have the Jungle Safari in Gir Reserve (where different people live close to the reserve like Rebari, Siddi, etc. ). Gir Resarvat is known for Asiatic kind of lions but there are also different kinds of animals that are also in the reserve.
   In the afternoon you are free to spend some time outdoors or maybe the travel liter gives you some surprises.
   ** The Siddi are also famous from Gujarat. Descended primarily from Southeast Africa, they were merchants, sailors, indentured servants, slaves, and mercenaries. You might look at the ones in Sasan Gir and be confused that you are in Africa.

Day 7 Sasangir-Junagarh - Gondal

   Day 07. >Today drive to Gondal but visit Junagarh en route. En route visit Junagarh Fort, Bibi ka Makbara, Ashoka Period Buddhist Caves. In many buildings there is a mixture of Hindu, Muslim and European architecture.
   Then drive from Junagarh to Gondal. Gondal is full of old 17th century palaces. You will visit City Palace (Navlakha Palace overlooking the river). This imposing building, over 30 meters high, is one of Gondal's oldest and most beautiful. You will also stay in a former palace that is now converted into a hotel.
   You will visit an Ayurvedic company and see the collection of Ravi paintings as well as old-timer cars.
   Breakfast, dinner and overnight at the Palace Hotel.

Day 8 Gondal-Bhuj

   After breakfast drive to Bhuj. When you get there, visit Textile Museum of Kutch in Bhuj.
   After that, drive to the hotel which is situated on the shore of the lake. Ambiance wise the hotel is very nice. You have three nights in Bhuj.
   Breakfast, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Bhuj-Mandvi-Bhuj

   After breakfast drive to Mandvi and visit a Jain Temple before Mandvi. After that you can drive to Vijay Vilas Palace and visit. In Mandvi there lived many wealthy people who traded diamonds, precious stones.
   It was also known for a shipbuilding industry that still uses traditional techniques. On the shore you see some wooden ships that are not finished yet.
   Then come back to Bhuj where you will visit two palaces side by side. Named after Rao Pragmalji II who commissioned the construction of Prag Mahal. It is designed in the Italian Gothic style. The palace building was affected because of the last big earthquake.
   Maharao Lakhpatji commissioned the palace in 1750. The museum is a royal showcase for Kutch jewelry, guns, and art. Eiana Mahal has a very good collection of antiques. Worth visiting and learning about the history of Kutch.

Day 10 Bhuj - Great Rann of Kutch

   Today visit Northern part and Southern part of Kutch villages. The villages are like open-air museums, where different families from different clans live and sell their goods. You will see the art of the families and walk through the village.
   In the southern part of the villages live Meghwal families who make great embroidery on the fabrics. See the typical group of houses. Afterwards drive to the Great Rann of Kutch (White Desert). Come back in the evening.

Day 11 Bhuj-Bajana

   Today drive to Bajana, an eco-friendly village and overnight at Royal Safari Camp Bajana.
   It is located near the village of Dasada, a few minutes drive from the entrance of the Little Rann of Kutch ( Wild Donkey Resarvat ).
   You can relax and have lunch (Included today). Late afternoon drive to Kutch Wild Donkey Reserve. You will also see many species of birds.
   Lunch, dinner, breakfast and overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Bajana-Modhera-Patan-Sidhpur-Palanpur

   We then continue our journey to Modhera Sun Temple where we can admire the Sun Temple. It is one of the finest examples of 11th-century Indian temple architecture. Then we drive to Patan where we visit the 11th century Stepwell (Rani Ki Vav ).
   It is a rich and ornate monument erected by Queen (Udaymati) in memory of her husband (Bheema I).
   After that drive to Sidhpur. There is European influence over the houses (Manzil's they say). Strolling down the street would surely give you that Indiana Jones feel.
   Then continue the drive to Palanpur. The 19th-century Balram Palace stands like a chimera over the Macchu River, is richly decorated and has spacious suites with silk wallpaper, carved sandstone panels and marble balconies like royal apartments.

Day 13 Palanpur- Ranakpur- Jawai Leopard Reserve

   Drive through the mountains towards JAWAI. En route visit Ranakpur Jain Temple.
   Then drive to the Jawai where you will go on jeep safari to see the wildlife. Sleep under the stars.
   Secret tip from us * If 100 people do the safari, 90% will see the leopards. Few foreign people arrive there.
   Overnight stay and dinner in the tent hotel.

Day 14 Java
